Day 1: Arrival & Ayurvedic Consultation
Morning/Afternoon: Pickup from Colombo/Airport
Warm welcome at Bandaranaike International Airport or pickup from your Colombo hotel. Scenic transfer to our luxury Ayurveda wellness resort on the south coast (approximately 2-3 hours). Enjoy refreshing king coconut water upon arrival.
Evening: Resort Check-in & Welcome
Check into your private villa or deluxe room surrounded by tropical gardens. Settle in and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the resort.
Night: Initial Doctor Consultation
Meet with our experienced Ayurvedic doctor for a comprehensive health assessment. Determine your dosha (body constitution) through pulse diagnosis and questionnaire. Receive your personalized 7-day treatment plan including diet, therapies, and herbal medicines.
Day 2: Panchakarma Begins - Purvakarma
6:30 AM: Sunrise Yoga & Pranayama
Begin your day with gentle Hatha yoga session on the beach or in the open-air yoga pavilion. Learn breathing techniques (pranayama) to calm the mind and prepare for treatments.
8:00 AM: Ayurvedic Breakfast
Enjoy a nourishing breakfast tailored to your dosha - fresh tropical fruits, herbal porridge, and Ayurvedic herbal tea.
9:30 AM: First Panchakarma Treatment - Abhyanga
Experience your first full-body oil massage (Abhyanga) using warm medicated herbal oils selected specifically for your constitution. Two therapists work in synchrony to stimulate circulation and begin toxin release.
11:00 AM: Herbal Steam Bath (Swedana)
Relax in a herbal steam chamber to open pores and deepen the detoxification process. Medicated steam helps liquefy toxins for elimination.
12:30 PM: Ayurvedic Lunch
Savor a delicious vegetarian lunch prepared according to Ayurvedic principles. Fresh organic vegetables, rice, dal, and herbal preparations restore balance.
Afternoon: Rest & Relaxation
Rest in your room or relax in the gardens. The body needs time to process treatments. Optional gentle walk on the beach.
6:30 PM: Light Ayurvedic Dinner
Enjoy a light, easily digestible evening meal. Early dinner supports optimal digestion and detoxification during sleep.
7:30 PM: Evening Meditation
Guided meditation session to calm the mind and prepare for restful sleep. Learn mindfulness techniques for daily practice.
Day 3: Deep Detoxification Therapies
6:30 AM: Yoga & Pranayama
Morning yoga session focusing on twists and forward bends to support digestive detoxification.
9:30 AM: Shirodhara Treatment
Experience the deeply relaxing Shirodhara - a continuous stream of warm herbal oil poured on the forehead (third eye). This treatment calms the nervous system, relieves stress, and promotes mental clarity.
11:00 AM: Podikizhi (Herbal Powder Massage)
Therapeutic massage using warm herbal powder pouches. Excellent for reducing excess fat, improving circulation, and treating joint conditions.
3:00 PM: Ayurvedic Cooking Class
Learn to prepare simple Ayurvedic dishes and herbal teas. Understand the six tastes (rasas) and how to balance them in your daily diet. Take home recipes to continue your wellness journey.
Day 4: Pradhanakarma - Main Detoxification
6:30 AM: Yoga & Meditation
Extended morning session including asana practice, pranayama, and guided meditation.
9:30 AM: Virechana (Therapeutic Purgation)
Under doctor supervision, undergo Virechana - a controlled cleansing process to eliminate toxins from the liver and gallbladder. This is a key Panchakarma therapy for Pitta dosha balance.
Afternoon: Complete Rest & Monitoring
Rest in your room while the doctors monitor your progress. Light meals and herbal teas support the cleansing process.
Evening: Gentle Stretching & Relaxation
Gentle restorative yoga and deep relaxation session to support the body's healing.
Day 5: Nourishing & Rejuvenation Therapies
6:30 AM: Beach Yoga Session
Practice yoga on the beach as the sun rises over the Indian Ocean. Connect with nature's healing energy.
9:30 AM: Pizhichil (Oil Bath Therapy)
Luxurious therapy where warm medicated oil is continuously poured over the body while being gently massaged. Deeply nourishing for tissues and nerves.
11:30 AM: Navarakizhi (Rice Poultice Massage)
Special massage using poultices of cooked medicinal rice dipped in herbal decoction. Excellent for strengthening muscles and rejuvenation.
Afternoon: Spa Time & Optional Treatments
Enjoy additional spa treatments (optional extra): facial treatments, head massage, or foot reflexology. Relax by the pool or beach.
Day 6: Rasayana - Rejuvenation Phase
6:30 AM: Pranayama & Meditation
Focus on advanced breathing techniques and extended meditation. Experience deeper states of consciousness and inner peace.
9:30 AM: Full Body Rejuvenation Package
Combination of Abhyanga, Shirodhara, and herbal steam. This Rasayana therapy promotes longevity, vitality, and immunity.
3:00 PM: Herbal Medicine Workshop
Learn about common Ayurvedic herbs and their uses. Understand how to use spices like turmeric, ginger, and cumin for health. Make your own herbal tea blend to take home.
Evening: Fire Ceremony (Havan)
Participate in a traditional fire ceremony for purification and setting positive intentions. A beautiful cultural experience.
Day 7: Integration & Departure
6:30 AM: Final Yoga & Meditation Session
Closing yoga session to integrate your practice. Set intentions for maintaining wellness at home.
9:00 AM: Final Doctor Consultation
Meet with the doctor to review your progress and receive personalized recommendations for continuing Ayurvedic practices at home. Receive your wellness report and prescribed herbal supplements.
10:00 AM: Wellness Certificate Ceremony
Receive your Ayurveda wellness completion certificate. Group photo and farewell with the Ayurvedic team.
Afternoon: Transfer to Colombo/Airport
Check-out and transfer to Colombo or Bandaranaike International Airport. Depart with renewed vitality, knowledge, and a personalized wellness plan for continued health.
