Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & Anuradhapura - Sacred Buddhist Sites
Arrive at Colombo Airport. Transfer to Anuradhapura (4 hours). Visit Sri Maha Bodhi (oldest living tree), Ruwanwelisaya Dagoba, and Thuparamaya. Evening visit to Isurumuniya Temple.
Day 2: Anuradhapura Multi-Faith Exploration
Morning: Abhayagiri Complex, Jetavanaramaya. Afternoon: St. Marys Cathedral (Christian), Grand Mosque (Islamic), and Mihintale (Buddhist pilgrimage site). Overnight in Anuradhapura.
Day 3: Polonnaruwa - Medieval Sacred City
Drive to Polonnaruwa (2 hours). Visit Gal Viharaya (Buddhist rock temple), Shiva Devale No. 2 (Hindu), and Rankoth Vehera. Evening: St. Georges Church and Old Mosque in the ancient city.
Day 4: Sigiriya & Dambulla - Rock Temples
Morning climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Afternoon: Dambulla Cave Temple (5 caves with 150+ Buddha statues). Visit nearby Hindu kovil and mosque. Overnight in Sigiriya area.
Day 5: Kandy - Temple of the Sacred Tooth
Scenic drive to Kandy via Matale. Visit Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Buddhist), evening puja ceremony. Explore Kandy Lake and nearby religious sites.
Day 6: Kandy Multi-Faith Day
Morning: Sri Muthumariamman Kovil (Hindu), Kandy Jummah Mosque (Islamic), and St. Pauls Church (Christian). Afternoon: Bahirawakanda Temple, Gadaladeniya & Lankatilaka temples. Cultural dance show in evening.
Day 7: Departure via Colombo
Drive to Colombo (3.5 hours). Optional visit to Wolvendaal Church (Christian), Jami Ul-Alfar Mosque (Islamic), and Gangaramaya Temple (Buddhist). Transfer to airport for departure.
